While reminiscing on my unbelievable summer in New York City, I have to pay tribute to the unbelievable desserts I was lucky enough to enjoy. This week, I want to highlight the cereal milk flavored soft serve from Momofuku Milk Bar, located in Soho. When visiting New York City, this dessert is a must try. It may sound like an odd choice for ice cream flavor, but I promise it won't disappoint. If the cereal milk ice cream doesn't interest you, Momofuku Milk Bar has other popular treats for you to try including crack pie and compost cookies.

A D'Liteful Dessert
Even as the extreme dessert lover I am, sometimes I do in fact worry about my poor eating choices. If you have similar concerns, I have the solution for you, D'Lites Emporium. D'Lites is a low-calorie soft serve shop located right in Gainesville in the Millhopper Plaza, next to Fresh Market. At just twelve and a half calories per ounce, D'Lites offers the pleasure without the guilt. Every day the shop switches up its flavors, so you never have to choose from the same selection when you go back again. Just check out the website to see the flavors of the week.

D.C. Cupcakes
Last weekend I went to the nation's capital and of course, had to try some delicious sweets. It wouldn't be a successful trip without biting into one of D.C.'s popular cupcakes. The most well-known, Georgetown Cupcakes, was naturally a long wait. Instead, we decided to try another D.C. staple, Baked and Wired. The cupcake was literally the size of my head and the taste did not fail to impress. With a vanilla cake, chocolate icing and a hazelnut filling, what could be bad?

The Hype About Hyppo
Need a refreshing treat after a long day in the Florida heat? The Hyppo Gourmet Ice Pops, which opened in Gainesville in April, is my favorite new spot. With flavors like Mango Habanero, Bourbon Peach and Blackberry Goat Cheese, there's a limitless amount of unique flavors. When your in the fruity mood my personal favorite is Pluot mint. In case you are wondering, a pluot is a hybrid of plum and apricot. Sounds delicious right? But, if your feeling something more on the sweet side, I recommend the Banana Walnut dipped in chocolate.
If you haven't tried this hot spot you should definitely check it out before the cold weather hits Gainesville. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

Dessert Devotee
When most people go out to eat, their first thought is, "what appetizer or entree should I order?" I on the other hand, immediately skim to the bottom of the menu to browse the delicacy I call desserts. I should be clear, I do not discriminate. Although anything chocolate will forever have a large place in my heart, anything sugary and sweet will also be eaten, I guarantee it.
My philosophy, no matter how many courses or how full you may be, there is always, under any circumstance, room for dessert. Whether you chose to devour the delicious delights I will tell you about, or just live vicariously through my poor eating habits is your choice. But I can promise, the mouth-watering treats will be your newest guilty pleasures.
Preview the tempting treats to come with my all time favorite, an Oreo cream donut sandwich filled with chocolate peanut butter ice cream from Holey Cream in New York City.
